I don’t think we could have picked a better day for our session! It was warm, and the colors were gorgeous! Just like this family! The girls had me laughing throughout the entire session! And Mom and Dad are just so sweet! I love our sessions together!
This post is WAY over due! The M family is awesome. I met Cate about seven years ago at a Mom’s group at our church- we were paired up together to walk around Lake Calhoun and I fell in love with her sweet disposition, and down to earth personality. Over the years we have stayed friends, praying for each other, and encouraging each other over many stages of life. I honestly don’t know what I would do without her! I am so thankful for her and her sweet family .
I asked Cate if I could come over one evening for a lifestyle session. I wanted to capture the heart of her family without giving any direction at all. We had such a great night despite being attacked by a mob of mosquitos ! It was so fun to be a quiet observer of their family dynamics, and I just love how telling this collection of images are. How fun is it that they were doing cartwheels in the backyard as Daddy grilled? And the images of them cuddling before bed? Oh melt my heart!
I have already begun incorporating more lifestyle images in my family sessions but it is a style that I would like to give more focus to. I love styled photos- but there is just something so special about capturing a family just as they are. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if this is something you are interested in and Id love to talk to you more about it!
Thank you so much M Family! I love the five of you so much!
It is impossible not to love this family. They are so sweet and down to earth! They love each other, and their constant laughter is tell tale to just how much fun they must have “off” camera too! I nearly melted into a big puddle when big brother “allowed ” ( after much coaxing ) little sister to give him a kiss, and then soon after returned the gift! So cute! Thank you “B” family!
I loved every second of this sweet little guy’s session. I have come to know and love his parents and big brother over the past couple of years, so it really felt like I was visiting great friends for the afternoon. That should be the definition of an amazing job! I managed to get a few cuddles in between shots with this little man, and I was very reluctant to hand him back to his Mom and Dad 🙂 Cant wait to see the four of you again soon!
I am convinced that this senior walked out of a magazine for our session. Isn’t she fabulous?! She insisted that she wasn’t a model- but these images beg to differ! Thank you Maddii for wonderful afternoon- and for making me look like a rock star photographer! It was so much fun getting to know you! Happy Senior Year!
Are you all swooning over these two? I still am. They have the most amazing love story that began in Europe, and now it is continuing with a sweet little baby boy due in November. Throughout their session, he couldn’t stop kissing her, and she was all smiles and laughter. I adore couples that adore each other! I can hardly wait to see them hold their little bundle! They are going to be such fun loving parents! What a lucky little boy! Congrats you two!
I just love this family, and I love taking their portraits every year. I’ve known them for years- pre photographer- pre mommy- pre marriage years ( wow- I am getting old! ) and they have such a sweet spot in my heart. This session was just as much fun as last year’s ( speeding trains and all! ) and I am looking forward to next year already! I bet those boys will be taller than me by then! Thank you guys!
These two love birds celebrated their ten year anniversary this year! Aren’t they cute? And their little boy? Oh my goodness- cuteness oozes out of that dimple-y smile. He greeted me with a huge hug- I have been photographing him for a couple of years now- and I finally made friend status. I don’t think I’ve had a sweeter little friend! Our session was filled with laughter, frogs, hugs, water, and mosquitos ( the mosquitos were not welcome ) ! Thank you “H” family- the love the three of you have for each other is infectious!
